Can you help us by Volunteering?

As a small non-profit organization, we spend most of our time and money restoring religious items and sending them out to to new homes worldwide.  We depend on the generosity of donors to support our work.  You can assist us with donations of cash, time, or items.  Your donations to SPORCH are tax deductible.

We need help with the following tasks. Some activities are suitable for teens and homeschoolers. If you can help by donating your time please contact us .

  • Graphics Reproduction

Time: 3 - 4 hours at a time Need: Immediate and urgent Experience/skills: Adobe PhotoShop software, framing, carpentry -- will train. Scan original artwork and save as digital files Locate, size, and print digital files Frame finished reproductions and pack for shipping Train and supervise others in above tasks

  • Museum

Time: 3 - 4 hours at a time Need: Urgent Experience/skills: Will train Greet visitors to museum (adjacent to office) Assist with light office work

  • Sales

Time: Variable Need: Urgent Experience/skills: Customer service, sales, sales management, order fulfillment Track catalog orders through fulfillment, billing and receipt of payment Sell prints at conferences and craft shows Ensure customer satisfaction

  • Computer Support

Time: Variable Need: Strong Experience/skills: Computer hardware and software setup and repair

  • Donor Relations

Time: ? Need: Immediate and urgent Experience/skills: Database and word processing software, marketing, communications Develop donor database, annual newsletter, annual open house

  • Outreach Education

Time: Variable Need: Strong Experience/skills: Public speaking, writing, planning, fabrication Develop traveling exhibit and script Visit schools, churches, senior centers, etc Introduce others to SPORCH

  • Cleaning & Repair Work

Time: Variable Need: Strong Experience/skills: Cleaning, sewing, carpentry, stonework, metalwork, etc. Clean and repair liturgical items for reuse
